What the team does
Six disciplines, each with a clear owner. We publish roles rather than names here; the people behind them are listed as they choose to be.
Network engineering
Runs the entry points, the private tunnels and our own servers in Los Angeles and Falkenstein; keeps the routes healthy and replaces what gets blocked.
Protocol research
Studies how networks detect and block traffic, and keeps our second transport ahead of it. Measures first, changes second.
Mobile apps
The iOS and Android apps and the Linux client: one tap to connect, the eSIM store and the US number built in natively.
Payments and anti-fraud
The web checkout, the store subscriptions and the agent API; and the controls that keep stolen cards and abuse out of a service with no accounts.
Localisation
The apps and this site in 38 languages, right-to-left included, checked string by string before every release, because a reader in a hurry on a slow connection has no patience for broken text.
Support
One mailbox, read by the people who build the product. Answers come from whoever can fix the problem.
How we work
Nobody publishes alone: every release is built, verified on real devices and signed off before it ships, and every change to the network is made one step at a time while people are connected through it.
