Ten years of
getting through.
Red Team LTD is the company behind RedVPN and RostamVPN. We build encrypted access for people in places where the internet is limited, and the tools a traveler's data needs on the way.
We have been a Google Play developer since 2019. RedVPN launched on Google Play in November 2022 and reached 1 million installs there; RostamVPN, its sister product, has passed 1 million as well. Together our apps have been downloaded more than 3 million times. On the U.S. App Store, RedVPN ranks near the top 100 in Communications.
The service is older than the apps. Since 2012 the team has run censorship-circumvention tunnels for people in regions where censors limit internet access, among them Iran, Russia and China, with support from U.S. internet-freedom programs. The free tier is unlimited in Iran, Russia, Cuba and Syria, funded by donors.
Today the same company runs two product lines: data, so a traveler is online the moment they land and reachable on a number people know; and security, so everything they send is encrypted and keeps working where networks block it.

The record
Red Team LTD is founded in Irvine, California, to build anti-censorship systems and hosting for internet-freedom projects.
First app on Google Play. RostamVPN goes on to pass 1 million installs.
RedVPN, Inc. is founded; RedVPN launches on the App Store and on Google Play in November.
A Linux client with published checksums, a native eSIM store and a US second line inside the app, and this site in 38 languages.
What we publish, and what we do not
We say where our servers are and are not: our own servers in Los Angeles, dedicated servers in Falkenstein, Germany, entry points in the United States and in Frankfurt. We publish release notes, and the Linux client ships with SHA-256 checksums so you can verify what you run.
We do not publish addresses, hostnames, server counts or the details of how our transports evade blocking. The people this service exists for are the reason: what we print here is read by the censors too.
